Blues and Jazz Fest at Island Lake CA Amphitheatre Saturday, June 1, 2019
Description: Come be a part of a brand new addition to the annual Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival and enjoy like music on the water! Credit Valley Conservation Authority has joined in this event and will offer two opportunities to enjoy a live performance by two talented artists on the Island Lake Conservation Area Amphitheatre stage. The stage area is mainly covered with a bandshell, providing shade, shelter from the rain and great acoustics!
First up in the afternoon is Paul James, a Toronto-based Canadian musician who has received many music awards during his long career in the music business. He is winner of a Juno Award, multiple Toronto Music Awards,âThe Maple Blues (Lifetime Achievement Award for Blues Music in Canada), and the London Fire Hall Lifetime Achievement Award, to name a few.
In the evening, we have an acoustic performance by Little G Weevil, A Hungarian musician who is the solo winner of the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge in 2013, and has been nominated for USA Blues Music Award, Blues Blast Music Award and USA Independent Blues Award. He released six internationally acclaimed albums and toured across the globe.
You have the option of going to either show or both with a "Duo Performance Pass". Your ticket also includes park admissions for the day to Island Lake Conservation Area so why not make an adventure out of it? You are welcome to come explore the trails, rent a canoe or kayak and hit the water, cast a line and see if you catch a fish or enjoy a picnic before, after or in between performances. Ticket price at the door is $15.00 per performance or $20.00 for both, if available. Kids 5 and under are free. Seating limited to 150 people per performance. To avoid disappointment, please purchase your tickets ahead of time online. Tickets are non-refundable. CVC has the right to cancel the performance in the event of dangerous weather conditions.
